KLIKTRAK : ORIGINAL ELECTRONIC MUSIC
KLIKTRAK has often been asked to describe the music he creates, in essence to
categorise it according to commercial genres
in order to promote the music to the correct
market. KLIKTRAK has been producing music using electronic instrumentation
since 1988/89, and performing electronic music
LIVE since 1992.
Therefore KLIKTRAK's style of creating and
producing electronic music has developed its own unique flavour and sound,
without being too pretentious, KLIKTRAK's music
defies boxing into rigid commercial genre classification.
However KLIKTRAK's music has been described as :
"melodic-techno", "techno-kwaito",
"techno-house-trance" , "?".
KLIKTRAK's influences are varied, but has a
leaning to stateside, detroitesque philosophies, and believes in the type of
electronic future culture as envisioned by the
Detroit techno pioneers, and sees this as particularly relevant to the African
and South African cultural environment that
surrounds KLIKTRAK, which finds expression in his unique electronic musical
creations as embodied in KLIKTRAK's aural art.
